Before working with Liezl, I was using perfectionism and control to cope with my ADHD, but found myself isolated and fearful. Liezl saw me as a whole person, with ADHD being a part of me, and helped me to connect my past, present, and future. Now, I feel safe in letting go of perfection and valuing my own health and happiness.
I'm so grateful for Liezl's support. I am mentally in a much better place than I was 4 months ago. Her support and guidance has helped me to come to terms with my grief and anxiety about the future.
As a result I'm able to be more present with my family and I take care of myself as a priority.
I have gone from not seeing a way through my sense of shame and worthlessness to valuing myself and confidently seeking out good things to benefit me.
Liezl has offered me a space to feel heard. Somewhere I could be my real self and feel safe. I have learned how to be honest with myself and how to read and meet my needs.
Imposter Syndrome filled me with insecurity and limited my ability to be my true self. My capacity to meet difficulties creatively was hampered by my focus on risk.
Now I can view my challenges more objectively, knowing where my thinking habits came from and finding kind ways to back myself. Consequently my personal and professional relationships are much healthier and more fulfilling.
The number of sessions you'll need depends on your therapy goals related to Anxiety, issues with ADHD or Menopause. We'll agree a number that seems appropriate for your requirements (and broadly in line with NICE guidelines) and review that regularly. On average people need between 8 and 20 sessions.
This course is designed to support people with ADHD to cultivate mindfulness in a way that works best for them. A safe and inclusive space where participants can learn and practice mindfulness techniques tailored to their unique needs. Whether you're new to mindfulness or have been practicing for years, you're welcome to join us on this journey into greater self-awareness and well-being.
Future courses will cost £300 as opposed to this first course which is offered at £50 in total!

I live in The Scottish Borders near the picturesque town of Jedburgh.
A place full of community and history.
My own lived experience with ADHD, peri-menopause and anxiety is supported by my CBT counselling credentials. You get a rounded therapist who understands your situation, but also has the formal qualifications to offer you tools and techniques to find relief from these conditions.
I used to work in Edinburgh in financial services change management and I really like the overlaps between change management and CBT therapy. Both work in a time-bound and goal oriented way with measurable and evidence-based ways to check on progress. I like a bit of structure and a plan.
My counselling interest grew from my mindfulness practice. And these principles guide what I do:
