Frequently Asked Questions - Online Counselling
Yes. I offer online CBT therapy for ADHD and anxiety to adults across the UK. Working online means you can attend sessions from anywhere; at home, during a lunch break, or in a quiet space that feels comfortable for you. Sessions are designed to fit around busy lives, making it easier to fit therapy around work, family, and other commitments.
I work primarily with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), integrated with mindfulness-based approaches. CBT offers structure and evidence-based techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, while mindfulness helps you manage stress and stay grounded in the moment. It’s a powerful combination for managing ADHD, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. It’s a structured, time-bound approach but always delivered with warmth, flexibility, and compassion.
I specialise in supporting adults and professionals with ADHD and anxiety, including those who identify as neurodivergent or are juggling work, family, and caregiving responsibilities. My approach is structured but compassionate, supporting you to find practical, sustainable tools for everyday life, focused on helping you build calm, self-understanding, and tools that work for real life.
Yes, all sessions are completely confidential. As a COSCA-registered therapist I follow strict confidentiality and ethical guidelines. Everything you share in sessions is treated with respect, privacy, and professionalism.
Absolutely. Mindfulness can be transformative when it’s adapted to ADHD minds, but many people with ADHD find traditional mindfulness hard to stick with. This is why I teach ADHD-friendly mindfulness techniques that are practical, flexible, and body-based… designed for busy, restless minds. Mindfulness isn’t about sitting still. In my Mindfulness-Based ADHD Living Course (MBAL), we explore short, accessible practices that help with focus, emotional regulation, and calm, without the pressure to “switch off”.
No experience is needed. The Mindfulness-Based ADHD Living Course (MBAL) is open to complete beginners and those who’ve tried mindfulness before but found it difficult to connect with or sustain. The sessions are supportive, inclusive, and designed for neurodivergent adults including those with ADHD who want realistic ways to bring mindfulness into daily life. Courses offer plenty of guidance, discussion, and real-world examples so you can build confidence at your own pace.
In individual CBT therapy, every session is tailored to your needs that day, focusing on your goals and emotional wellbeing.
The group mindfulness course follows a structured plan, combining education about ADHD and anxiety with mindfulness practices and discussion. It’s a great option if you want community support alongside learning.
Combining CBT and mindfulness offers both structure and self-awareness. CBT gives you practical strategies for managing anxious or self-critical thoughts and tools to challenge unhelpful thoughts, while mindfulness helps you observe them without judgment. Ut’s especially effective for improving focus, emotional regulation, and self-compassion, especially helpful for ADHD adults and professionals under pressure.
If you’re looking for personalised support to explore your emotions, experiences, and patterns, 1:1 CBT therapy is often the best place to start.
If you’d like to learn tools and techniques alongside others, the Mindfulness-Based ADHD Living Course offers community, structure, and a shared learning space. During a free consultation call, we can discuss what feels right for you.
